i got a 2003 banshee its all stock but i just installed a trinity stage 4 2 into 1 single 35mm carb and a k&n pro flow kit it runs great but when i give it full throttle it bogs and dont gain rpm unless i have it pinned for atleast 5 seconds then it kicks in but when i give it 3/4 throttle it seems to run great and takes off and gains speed do you think it needs jetted runs great all around but when i pin it

 

yeah u deff need to re-jet

 

if it runs fine on the bottom end then you need to change your main jet, that controls the 1/2- WOT stage. If it bogs first when you go WOT then you are prob to lean on the main jet, if it blurps almost like its flooding then you need to lean out the main jet.

 

your pilot/needle must be fine but you need to re-jet the main.

 

Go up a size on your mainjet and see if it gets better/worse.

 

so i should upgrade a size bigger main jet alright so does anyone happen to know what size main jet are in the trinity stage 4 single 35mm carb setup and what size to upgrade to

 

take your carb apart and look at the main jet, if i'm correct it should be the jet directly in the center above the float. There should be a number marked on it.. ex:145 Not sure what size yours actually is but see what the number says and go out to a dealer and get a few jets with numbers higher and lower. Maybe get two mains jets +2 and +3 or 4 and get 2 main jets -2 and -3 or 4 of the number already marked on the main jet in there. If you dont want to buy 4 jets try the +2 and the -2 from whats in there now and you should be able to figure out which one makes it run better to get you closer to the proper size.

 

sounds to me that its running to rich i think you should go down one on the main jet but thats just my opinion. Reason being is when he gives it full thorottle it takes a few seconds to get rid of the extra gas then it cleans out and takes off but if you give it 3/4 it runs fine? Am I correct?

 

yea i give it full throttle and it bogs and all for acouple seconds then it finally takes off but still acts alittle funny but when i let off the gas and give it 3/4 throttle it runs great and actually gains alittle more speed

 

COuld need to be leaned out but if the main jet is to small it wouldn;t let enough gas get through and could cause that also. Thats basically why I said go buy two jets... one that is 2 sizes bigger and one that is two sizes smaller than whats in there now so it would give you a better understanding of which way you need to re-jet. Also if it is cold where you live, the jetting in there now may be fine for the warmer temps but when it gets cold the jetting has to be richened up.
