how can i speed up a big bear 400 4x4(04 or 05), they top out at a little over 50 stock, i would like to up that to atleast 60ish, be great if i could do it for under $400, even better if cheaper [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Give Four Stroke Tech a call over in hyndman, Pa. You can get the number in a dirtwheelsmag. He might a have a gear swap for around what you want to spend. That is about the only way your goin to get any more speed out of your big bear. I have a 97 kodiak with the same motor as yours and get around what your getting. Hope this helps. Later

 

someone told me to add performance pipies to it? are they going to do anything for it?

 

That will just get you to the top speed faster. Its nice to have the perfromance pipe but you need to change gears to get a higher top speed.

HAHA 2 CHAGE GEAR ON A SHAFT DRIVE yea it would be hard if not doable at all u can put taller tires like sum 27 an maybe sqzzz alil more out the top an kill sum bottom.
