Speedy2222 you are awesome, that really puts things in perspective and looks like I am really close to "the best". I was worried that I was running too rich but that eases my mind. Thanks for the great info!

thanks alot guys... and i don't think that that thing is as helpful to me as much as it is to most... i've never seen a tanned plug with black spots on it...

LOOK AT THIS (Spark plug color guide)
i saw a white plug today.......................
blew the motor in my sled, was just warming up and idling on the stand and the thing all of the sudden...boom. pulled the plug thing was white and the tip was slammed shut and aluminum shards all in the plug....................not a good sign.
guess im rebuilding it again, second winter ina row now........

LOOK AT THIS (Spark plug color guide)
speedy, You may want to watch out...when you type in CAPS ...it looks like youre shouting, and theres someone on the forum whos got a bone for that and heres one of his posts
