its funny how much we go over the different types of pipes. When it comes down to it there are only a few choices to make. do you need a spark arrester? how loud? How expensive? If were talking performance only which normally we are you need any one of the straight pipes with no baffles. After that there all going to be the same. You guys who think that switching from a yoshi to a sparks to a gyt-r to a hmf is going to give you any amount of noticable difference are on crack. The contruction and quality may be different but thats it. They flow dynamics are almost the same. They just have a different sticker on the side.

Some pipes chambers are different. And make power in different areas. No they dont make huge power like tuned 2 stroke pipes but there are other choices. Even in headers for cars they make different sizes for different applications so dont tell me they are all the same. I personally what the fastest drag pipe and everyone tells me DR.D but thats just not true there are pipes out there that produce better power than the DR.D

My boyfriend put the full GYT-R exhaust on and jetted it and it was amazing the difdferance it made but I agree with Trinity748. I dont think that any full exhaust jetted is going to make a huge differance if any. He only got the GYT-R because it (from what we were told) is the only one that doesn't void your warranty(he has the extended warranty).

How do you guys feel about The Xccelerator by DG performance? I just purchased a 2005 YFZ 450 and asked that it have a pipe and jet kit installed. When I was in the dealer they showed me the FMF pipe. When I came back to pick up the bike I did not notice they installed the Xccelerator stage 1 pipe. Any feed back on the quality of this pipe?
