2 bits of advice for ebay

1) check the feedback of the person holding the auction and don't bid unless they have good feedback

2) if the deal is too good to be true, it's probably a scam and don't bid no matter what their feedback says, the user ID could have been hijacked

I have bought over a hundred different items off ebay ( more like 150), and knock wood, have not been scammed yet. The best thing is to see if they take Pay Pal, that way you can track you money a lot better, and possibly even stop payment. If they only take delivery through Western Union, beware, it seems to be a favorite of scammers. If they are running an Ebay store, you are pretty safe, they have to be verified with Ebay to keep a store on their site.

I have had mixed results with ebay. I just bought a hub and rotor for $10 and it worked out great, I tried to by an ATC a while back and the guy was only trying to scam people. Must of thought us ATVers don't know anything about the interent, well, i caught him in the act, reported him and he got suspended and fined.
1. Look at the feed back, try to get someone with near 100% that has sold A LOT of stuff particularly the stuff u want
2. I only recomend PAYPAL, that way there is a automatic paper trail
3. Watch out for ebay scam emails, the guy that tried me, tried to tell me that he was going to use paypal, then send me a fake ebay email, like a bill of sail, that told me to wire him the money... he was full of crap.
4. if you are in the USA, don't buy from canada, if you are in canada, don't buy from USA...customs @#$%'s everything up. I tried to get a 500$ camera from some dude in canada, he never sent it to me after i payed. luckily i used paypal with a platinum credit card and had the funds retracted and let my card company deal with that butthole.
Just use good descrestion man and you should be fine. Good luck

LoL

at least you emailed me, i would've been angry if you hadnt said anything I was waiting for payment.

I'm About to get a NON PAying bider notice. I won these fenders but the guy
1. doesnt take paypal
2. was rushing payment badly
3. has 99cent junk for sale, more like to get feeedback i guess.
4. has posted the fenders now 3 times and still says hasnt got a buyer.

so either hes gotten payment from the other guys and its just reseling or no one trusts him with $250 with moneyorder.
thats why i didnt pay. besides i bought the ones off k&k for 100.
