Have you got what it takes to be the world's fastest?

Conrad's on the record man. I'm glad to see this thread, mainly to shut my buddy up that says if he changed his sprockets in his stock zilla he could do 120 easy. Now I get to show him that you need a rocket between your legs to do 120.

i'll do it! I've always wanted to die in a horrible crash.

You're very correct. I didn't want to get too technical, but the experienced Salt Flat guys will tell you about hitting the 'wall'. That's the point where the air, rolling friction, back pressure from the hole you created and a whole bunch of stuff Newton and Bournoulli (bad spelling) cursed us with all work to push you back. At a certain speed, those forces become exponentially greatr than the bikes ability to overcome. For instance, my bike produces 70hp and is geared 15/36 and has modified drive axle gears. It peaks out at 92mph and will not go faster, even though I am 500rpm below redline. If I hit the NOS (set at 30 shots), it only gains 5mph even though it gained nearly 40%hp. That is why we begin to make modifications to reduce aerodynamic drag and replace negative pressure. We move exhausts to centerline (fill the pressure hole), cap rims, eliminate radiator vents, and increase castor. Oh, and yeah, we hit the thruster and really begin to appreciate life!
By the way 344PV, I appealed to the SCTA and Bonneville to accept Quads and was rejected twice. That's why I pursued Guiness. Believe it or not, the SCTA said I could only run the flats if I installed a roll cage. I told them that if I did that, I would die for sure.
They still think these things are balloon tired, unsuspended dinosaurs from way back when. I tried.
