once i told this guy to come to my house and give me cash and if not then screw you. and i got a email back being all pissed off and saying... " who are u to tell me to screw me? i am not what u think i am." lol. so he told me he was an algerian agent, with his own shipping compnany. lol.

 

Do Not Sell to this individual. I know someone who sold his car in this same manner. Recieved a cashiers check from the buyer for five grand more than the buying price, cashed (it registered to his account)it and sent the car. It took the bank three weeeks to track the check and find out that it was fraudulent. Not only was he out the 5 grand he sent back to the buyer, but they got his car as well. Now that Sucks!

 

Make them send the check FedEx or something. That way they are out at least a few bucks for postage.

Don't bother depositiing the check. If it is foreign funds and the exchange rate changes you'll lose out when the bank pulls their money back out of your account.

 

Just tell them cash only....no checks of any kind...but make sure you know how to identify counterfit cash.

FYI: Any time you sell something big...either get cash from them or go to their bank and get cash before turning it over. If they want to give you a cashier check you should cash it at their bank (with them present). That way you have the cash before they get anything!

 

YES IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!! i had the same thing happen to me , but i told them cash only and when the guy showed up i wasn't sure if the cash was counterfiet so me and him went to my bank ( i told him the title was there and we had to go there to get it but i really had the title at home) and i had the cashier there look at the money and see if it was fake and sure enough it was. so they called the police and the guy got arrested!!!!! ha ha ha i had to explain to the police what happened and they let me go but that guy went to jail!!!! so don't deal with em cause they'll try to screw ya.

befor you tell them to F off you need to call the FBI there may be a way to catch them. if some one is going to come get the trailer then it may be a copy cat here in the US. you have to atleast try it may save your grandmom or someones from being scamed
