Raptor Feedback please?

As some of you may know I am 3rd in line for a Raptor at my dealer. I was just wondering what I can expect from this bike? I got it for trail riding/fun riding. I wont be racing this bike....and if I do it wont be ANYTIME in the near future. I was wondering if the Raptor will be a little more fun on the trails than my Warrior I sold? Till the Raptor shows im stuck on my Wolverine......and STILL loving it! Is it just me or does anyone else think the Wolverine is a pretty good bike for what it was made for? Any kind of info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I rode mine last night up the mountain, with my Girlfriend on my old modified polaris sport, I spent most of the ride in 2nd gear, yes it will pull steep hills if you give it gas, I have no complaints except when I would shift into third I would end up leaving her behind and have to wait, she just doesnt go fast enough on the old machine. You should be very happy with it. and by the way I ramped several times No Problems with anything.

I rode my friends today and all i got to say is 1st gear long, u cant give it full trottle in 1st unless u are going straight cause your not going to be turning, the front end seems very light,i think u do have to rev 1st out to have full power for 2nd, 2nd is pretty steep. i only rode it in the yard and only got it in to 4th and had to stop. I didnt get to jump it. And get this, it started Backfiring and wouldnt run right so we took it back to J&J motors and it took them say 1/2 hour to figure out what was wrong. they said it was the plug, they said it was FLAT? dont ask me i dont know. O one more thing when i unloaded it out of the truck i didnt use ramps and just pulled it off the back and when it hit the ground the front top a-arms bent in and the axle bent..
J/k about the bending axle and a-arms.

I love the Raptor! I sold a Warrior also and moved up to the most awesome ride ever, way to go Yamaha
Having all that power on tap is so much fun, I can’t stop smiling, and it handles like a dream! You can go anywhere in 2nd, and the top end of 3rd is faster then my old Warrior would go in 6th! I hated to see my old trusty Warrior go but once you throw a leg over the new Raptor and feel all that power on tap you won’t want to ride anything else. I can't wait to try this baby at the sand dunes
See I can't stop smiling

I think It will be lots more fun on a trail than your warrior, but ergonomically speaking, It is the best yet after you get used to it. I used to perfer my Polaris Sport over riding banshee on the trail, this blows both away for the comfort and rideability on the trail.

I myself sold my 99 Warrior that was completely modified for a stock Raptor. All I have to say is HELL@ yes it's worth it. This thing is like no other ATV including Banshee and 400ex. I could be here all day talking about how great it is but I won't. Bottom line baddest Quad ever made. Hope you get it soon. I myself had mine since 9/5 and hadn't had a single moment of trouble. Get rid of that old 2 valve 350cc 4 stroke for a first of its kind 5 valve 660cc 4 stroke not to mention liquid cooled. Be prepared to hold onto your hat! Later war99. To bad I can't change my screenname.
