One problem may be your foot is slightly still holding the lever up or still against the lever, I noticed this when I first started wearing boots. Just a feature that prevents accidently shifting up two gears. I used to wonder what was wrong and I didn't notice my foot was still against the lever from shifting into 5th, it was hard to feel the lever at first when I started wearing the boots.

 

boots are annoying at first... my first ride, i would get off my quad in the wood and walk up to my buddy and talk to him and i would have to like waddle like a duck. lol. my quad is easy to shift though becasue it has the wird rocker-shifter thing. like a harley[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Try the alpine tech 4's, you can walk like you're wearing hiking boots, very good boots.

 

Raptor 350s have a 6th gear, i thought they only have 5. I want 6 gears on my yfz![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
