Is it worth paying an extra 700 dollars to get a 48 month warranty. How good of coverage is this. Has anybody ever had it.

My dealer advised against it. He told me that it wouldn't cover nothing what you think it would.

I imagine any aftermarket mods you put in to it will void the YES warranty anyhow.

I actually looked into this before prepping my quad for racing. I changed almost everything on my quad, but left the engine stock. As long as the mods aren't internal on the engine, its still under warranty.

Thats the only part of the quad I needed a warranty for anyways, so as long as I don't take the engine apart, I'm covered. Carb mods don't count as part of the internal engine, so mods to it are allowed.

The warranty was a bit pricey, but the way I look at it, I'm racing worry free until 2007.

Yea and when it goes down more than likely the dealer will give you the BS runaround. Probably will sound like "oh you race it....we do not warranty anything that is raced".....or "you tinkered with the carb(s) and thats why your engine is lunched". Or, "you did'nt use the proper oil in your engine", etc etc.
