Default Another one of those raptor jettin issues..gytr+proflow

i have a 02 raptor it has the Noss adapter plate w/ KN filter and outerware and i have a gytr aluminum slip on on it..

well orderd a gytr jet kit and followed intructions..

didnt have the KN filter when we jetted it the 1st time... so stock fitler w/ drilled air box..

had a 160/155, 25 pilot i think.. and gytr needles on 4th clip b/c the kn was on the way, fuel screw turns on the right carb and like 4 or so on the left carb.. if ur sittion on the quad....

well put the KN on and it ran great.. but i did notice that it seemed to run a little lean according to the plug test..

so finally i rejeted it to the 165/160 according to GYTR specs and fuel screw l-3.5, R-2 accordign to specs again.. a nd now it seems like it is running to rich.. what should i do... go back to the 160/155 where it had alot of power and mess w/ the fuel screw..

well my real questioin is.. what jetting should i use.. and which fuel screw are you suppose to adjust.. im prtty sure it said only need to adjust the left carb but maybe im gettin confused please help..

This could be just a typo on your part or maybe you didn't even do it that way, but are just typing it that way, but the when jetting a raptor, the smaller jet goes before the big jet...so you would jet at 155/160. Again, I'm not saying that you jetted in reverse, cuz I don't know, but I just thought I'd throw that out there just in case.

As for the jetting, I'm basically running the same set-up as you and I'm running 155/160, 25 pilot, needle in stock position, forget how many turns of screw...

yea thats what i meant.. but it seemed like almost to me that the 155/160 w/ needle in the 4th clip was almost to lean but then the 160/165 w/ needle in 4th clip was almost to rich.. but i think ill go back to the 155/160 b/c it seemed to have the most power.. but which carb are you suppose to adjust the fuel screw on?

and i cant remeber if in makes richer or if in leaner.. or how ti works ne more
