250r shock on a blaster

Default 250r shock on a blaster

i got a rear 250r shock that im trying to put on my blaster. Im having a problem getting the top bolt through the shock, do i need to make the hole wider somehow? and do u have any suggestions for where i should attach the resovoir and could i use zip ties instead of the resovoir attach things u have to buy?

u need to use a 87 r shock thats the best u also can use a 400ex shock too

The top pin should slide right through. If it's not working try to clean up the pin some with sandpaper or somthing. The shock should slide right in between the mounting holes with no problem but sometimes you need to do a little griding to make it fit. The bottom hole will give you the most trouble. You need to drill out the swingarm hole to 14mm and get a larger pin/bolt.

You can mount the rezzy anywhere, most people put it on the left side of the subframe by the oil injector. You want to keep it as far away from the heat of the engine and exhaust as possiable, and try to mount it so it will get some air flow over it to keep it cool, and keep the shock running smooth without the oil heating up. I've got some pics on my page of the 250R on the blaster if you want to take a look.
