$4500 voucher rebate
#11
I got 2 z400's in october, each with a $2000 cashable voucher. Paid 5699 apeice but after rebate will have paid 3299 each. I didn't realize you had to wait 36 months till I got to the dealer. It did not state in the ad I responded to. I almost walked out the door but I called and told my wife, she urged me to go ahead and get them. (best wife in the world!) Mine are through "The Consumers Trust" Kansas City Missouri. Dealer told me to contact him 1 month ahead of time so he could personally walk me through the redeeming process.
This dealer is the biggest Suzuki dealer in IN , been around a long time. Anything more specific you would like to know, feel free to ask, I'd be glad to help.

Sounds like those mail in rebate forms but instead they string it out to a longer time.... Never like those things...Doesn't seem right! Can anyone say legit pyramid scheme just like the lotto? But this is from that website:
How is that possible?
The Cashable Voucher is a financial memory test or challenge and we know that a very high percentage of vouchers will never be redeemed. People forget, lose their vouchers or simply fail to claim validly for any number of reasons. In effect, the voucher holders who do not claim validly help pay for those that do. The important thing is that each of the steps appearing in the voucher terms and conditions of agreement section must be satisfied for a valid claim to exist - WILL YOU REMEMBER?

Ok the dealer's name is Yochum Motor Sports, just north of Milwaukee, WI. 1-262-532-0000. I called the BBB no complaints, Wisconsin Trade and Consumer Protection one complaint not related to the rebate.
The bottom line is I am picking up a nice machine and if I get the rebate I'll name it Free Beee. If I don't get the rebate I am driving up there to have a little chat with them. I was going to buy a new ATV anyway so it's not like I am getting nothing for my money. I could of bought it a little cheaper, but I know what they run by doing web searches etc. So it's not like I paid 3 grand to much and then get screwed.
I do have some reservations about this rebate, but you think there name would be mud in the smaller community where there store is.
I wrote the $4500 cash back in 36 months right on the contract, so he may have a legal problem if I don't get it also.
So I guess it will be a while to see if I get the cash back, but I will definately post it either way.

Oh, boy, guys!! Could I fill your ears full of cashable vouchers info! I found this thread during a google search to see if there are any new legal actions against them. First and foremost, these vouchers are NOT rebates!! No way. Nothing is guaranteed, and less than 20% of people get any money AT ALL back!! And even then, it will be longer than the 3 years. Buy if the price is good without consideration of the voucher, buy the product and enjoy the 'game' of babysitting your 'voucher' for three years. Just remember that it is NOT A REBATE. It is a sales promotion. Some states have outlawed them all together. This whole scam started in Europe and migrated over to Canada. Just do a search and see the legal injuctions against cashable vouchers in Canada. Wis advises the dealers not to offer them, (see //www.dot.wisconsin.gov/business/dealers/new.htm), but they have not declared them illegal yet. And the consumer protection agency certainly does have complaints--at least one--ours!! Perhaps they have it filed against the dealer and not the cashable voucher program itself. It is fairly new in WI within 2 years, so they haven't "come due" yet. When they do, then the complaints will roll in. Run, don't walk, if you are contemplating buying a product on the basis that you will get some money back from this program!!!
