Torque????

Which has the has in your face power the raptor or the yfz? Thats what I am wanting for the woods and fast trails. I have rode the raptor and when you hammered it would stand straight up. Will the yfz do this to. I was just wondering which had the most torque. I use to have a 2002 426 and had alot of in your face power.

Yes the YFZ will stand up very easy when you hit the gas. The yfz has instant throttle response. I've ridden both the raptor and the yfz back to back. The yfz has a harder hit than the raptor. I prefer the raptor myself because of the reverse and the smooth ride. It is a very hard choice though.

I know. I would get the 450 hands down if it had a reverse. I always use to just spin the quadracer around but what I have ridden of the 4 strokes they seem to hook up better and you couldnt do it as well. With the quadracer I use to do doughnuts changing gears.

NO the yfz will not stand up if you hit the gas. it is not meant or designed to do that. it rather stay planted and accelerate foward (not upward). now if you want it to come up just give her a tug on the bars. the raptor has more torque than the yfz but the yfz has more horsepower. if you just want to trail ride get the raptor. if you want to go REALLY fast get the yfz. in drags the YFZ will beat the raptor.

Thanks alot. Thats what I was looking for. Thats what I want to lift the front end over stuff on trails. I know both are fast and my racing days are over. I dont really care that much about top speed. I just want some kick but power for hills. What about the predator? I have it down to those 2.

well the YFZ is made for the track, more top-end power and Stiff suspension, the raptor has lots of low-end and tooonns of tourqe and a smooth suspension, made for the trails, so i would say the raptor for trails, as of the pred, keep it yamaha much more potential and aftermarket for raptor.

Raptor for trails, no question. It's not as wide as the YFZ, the seat is more comfortable, it has gobs of torque down low, and you can lift the front end over obstacles. Get 22" rear tires for ground clearance and change the front sprocket to a 12 tooth, you'll be very happy.
