Rear Sprockets?

Default Rear Sprockets?

ok im about to get some sprockets from sprocket specialist. which one do u guys recommend..the steel or aluminum? they also have the ultra lights and titan tough..dont know which to get

Default Rear Sprockets?

Unless you are racing very competitvely and need the minor weight savings then opt for the steel. The aluminum sprockets lose thier edge fast and dont last long. Add some dirt, mud, or water into the equation and the aluminum sprocket just gets eaten away while a good steel one will last many times longer.

I'd agree with maddog there. Unless you are racing MX go with the steel. Even if you race XC go with steel. In fact go with the hardest steel you can get from a good company like Sidewinder or Renthal or someone you know is reputable.

There are a lot of crap sprockets out there.
