Does it matter wether its a silencer or not?

Default Does it matter wether its a silencer or not?
If i get a slip on that is a silencer.. will that take away from the performance? will it perform as good as a normmal or loud slip on?

well a silencer in the pipe. not the header the pipe. a slip on consist of the pipe.. not the header pipe. a slip on and a silencer is the same thing
