Yamaha & Honda both have their problems. The 400EX has terrible electrical problems due to the location of the battery and other components above the rear wheel & the head is VERY vulnerable to burning up due to poor service intervals (far more then others). Also they like to break cotter pins on the rear wheels and send them flying X_X!! Bottom line is every bike has its personal defects and some of these "problems with hardware" people have on their bikes are due to their poor negligence and neglection of regular service maintenance and care. What is going wrong with your raptor so badly that would make you downgrade yourself so much to an EX?
