Default Adding more torque for my Raptor...

Have an 01 Raptor...Since Raptors have decent torque I want to know any & all secrets to increasing the torque on my Raptor....gobbs of it is needed!!! I currently have a curtis sparks pipe, hot-cam, 11:1 piston, port/polished head, revbox. Money is no object just want the big bad Raptor to deliver the goods in stomp pulling power!!! Thanks...

Call Bob Craycraft, www.14mins.com, and tell him what you want. Saying "money is no object" when you don't really mean it could lead to hurt feelings, make sure you communicate your price range if you have a budget. It is easy to spend $5K - $8K on a built big-bore Raptor motor with all the bells and whistles. Getting all the power to the ground is just as important and a good suspension isn't cheap. If money is no object, get a really high compression big bore stroker and spend the money to make it last (balancing, heat/friction coatings, cryo). IMHO, it's better to only cry once.

I changed the gearing and it really increased the torque. I did loose top end but would reather have the power down low. I went with a 12 tooth on the front and a 42 tooth on the rear.

Are you still able to use your stock plastic swingarm skidplate with that 42 tooth in the rear?

Sorry to butt in on the thread, just wondered.

I have an aftermarket swing arm guard. I didn't change anything when I put the sprockets on. I was even able to use my stock chain. I have been told that a 42 tooth sprocket would require spacers on the swing arm guard. It just wasn't my experience.
