I went through this with mine. The GYT-R settings are fairly close, but as most say, these are baseline settings. It should be close, just try it and see.Get the bike warmed up and then do a short ride. Then pull your plug and see what it tells you.I have been running mine with the lid on with a 145 main,3rd on the clip 3 turns out, pilot stock.I am just a little lean.I would try going to a 170 first and see what happens. If it is to fat on top,"rich"it will pop out the pipe at full throttle.Light tan/cardboard color for your plug color.Make sure you get screw drivers that fit your carbs well when disassembling, the screws are really soft. Good luck, don't get frustrated you will get it.

Also when you do your test ride,do what is called a plug chop.Run the bike up to full throttle 4th 5th gear for a long run then pull in the clutch and hit the kill switch this will give you your best reading.Let me know how you do.

There is that much differance between the two?I have never used the dyno jet kits so I did'nt know.Thats pretty crazy, that there is that much of a differance.

145 sounds lean, but 170 sounds rich. I have a Uni filter with the lid off my airbox, full FMF Powerbomb system with mega max slip on. I run a 150 main, I had a 152.5 and that was too rich. If you are really concerned you can have a shop dyno tune the jetting for about 60 bucks.

That was just my suggestion at starting at a 170.Because the GYT-R sheet says the same as his 165.Just like I said they seem to set you up lean.I went with their stock setting at 142.5 with lid on, and that was lean.I figured to start him rich, instead of lean.170 is only one size up from thier 165.Just my 02 maybe I'm wrong.Had a lot of trouble finding the sweet spot for the setup.
