I have a 04' raptor 350 & this thing has, what i feel ran way to hot from day one. I've read that some don't have this problem, and others do. Why is this????. Had serviced between 15-20 hrs, Use yamalube 20-40, motor seems to make lots of ticking & tapping noise from down bottom and up top, how often do i need to check valve clearence other than what yamaha requires?

 

Alot of issues seems to come from running super gas in there, run regular and tell me if the condition gets better. Also the jetting may be off from the factory, how does your plug look?

 

mine overheated when i was breakin it in, turns out it was jus mud cackin up and trappin all the heat. when ever i ride in alot of mud mine overheats. try changin ur oil and check ur valves jus incase
