On my Raptor I've had the Yoshi and now I have the LTEs. It was dyno thrashed with the Large Sparks. If your going to only mildly build your Raptor the Yoshi and others are fine. If your going to build it a little more the Sparks is fine. If your going full tilt you will need either the Barker or LTE duals.

I actually really like the 700. I have actually considered getting one. I think it would be an outstanding "Sand Caddie."

In competition with a long steep sand hill one issue can be talked around, the Raptor is in the 400lb range and 700 is in the 500lb range.

When I'm racing up the steep side of Olds Hill in Glamis, I'm in third gear accelerating (forcing the torque to the rear wheels). I'm not sure how the torque converter on the 700 reacts/responds to the load while going up the hill. I think actually wastes the awsome power that the 700 makes.

Coyote, what grade of fuel do you run? I'm getting the 690 bore. It's jetting is going to be around 190/195. It just haven't done this upgrade before so I just don't know much about changing grades of fuel. Would there be a change from the 690 to the 727? Hell if not then I'll go with that. I just don't want to do much adjustments also.

With the Mods I have, my V will pull from the bottom of any hill, and will continue to accelerate untill it tops out. One of the things that I really like to do is let people that I have raced take my V for a run up the hill. It is really suprising how well this big heavy quad goes. The Torque is incredible and they are usually impressed.

Like I said, I am a realist, and I am not one of those KFX700 owners that thinks there is nothing that can beat them. But as far as "Fun Factor" goes, they are in the top 5. With that said, there are some 900cc V-Forces running around out there, and the mod potential is almost limitless.

Actually, Skat Trak has already made a few of them, and in fact, Mickey Dunlap is or has already built an 800 or 900cc V with the Chain Drive Swingarm. There are also people that have built extended shaft drive Swingarms.

Truth is, any of the Big Bore Sport ATV's can be made to haul @ss, all it takes is $$$$$$$$$.

raptor010 - I mix race gas and premium unleaded. My compression ration is just close enough to the edge that conditions could exist to make unleaded premium pre-detonate. Here in AZ the play with the fuel every season for emissions. Different brands, stations, age of the fuel, altitude, how hot it is outside or even how long your fuel was exposed to sunlight can effect the way a high compression race motor reacts. The mix is just insurance.

The shaft drive is one of the things I like about the V. We have a 250 EX in our family that everybody fights over. It is always ready to ride in the sand. Even though it's not the most sought after performance feature, it does always work. In the sand, that drive shaft works perfectly.

I own both and I can assure anyone that doubts it that the V-Force when tuned correctly is more than a match for a Raptor. Most people with V's don't have a clue about how to tune the CVT, so even with dual exhaust and other mods its still going to fall on its face unless the clutch is dialed in right.

Don't under estimate the V-Force. Most people say its a dog when its stock, it is a little bit but put some mods on it and hang on. In a drag race, a modded 450R Honda is one to two atv lengths ahead of me when dragin. Of course mine isn't stock anymore.
