Default Raptor Edelbrock Carb Kit Question

Have a question. Since I'm doing some serious mods to my quad, Wouldn't be smart to get an Edelbrock carb kit? It's easy to adjust. I don't want to have to rip the dual carbs out and rejet hoping it's right. Now using this carb will it sputter out if I race MX or do some serious jumping? I'm just not sure of this kit. I'm going with the 690 bore kit. With this setup and what I have done to my quad already with this carb how much hp will I get? Any advice or suggestions would be great! Thanks SSG JACOBS

dont know much about carbs but I would say its a pretty good decision to get an aftermarket carb set up b/c if you have new or different jets than from the factory then you have messed with the air/gas mix and sometimes having a better carb to handle that is good for your atv

Default Raptor Edelbrock Carb Kit Question

Yeah, I'm just wondering how they perform. I haven't really heard of anyone have one. Wondering if it's just for drag racing or if it's a setup for MX too. I see you're from TENN. I'm stationed at Ft Campbell Ky off of I24. You anywhere close to that? Know where LBL is? Peace in the MiddleEast!

IMO they would be a waste of money, I don't think there is really any performance gain over the stockers, some people say they can be hard to tune. Although maybe they would be alright if your racing mx. Some FCR's really wake up a raptor though.

Default Raptor Edelbrock Carb Kit Question

The single edelbrock carb setup has been debated many times on here. There are advantages and disadvantages. I would suggest a search in the yamaha forum for "edelbrock AND raptor", you'll get some good insight.

Oh that's cool man. Heck exit 86 is Ft campbell. Are you meaning 123 I think. Out at Litten. I think that's the name of the place. Free to ride and pretty rough place to go really. You ever head out to Cofton? First time i ever met someone close to where I'm at on here. So have you been to LBL lately? It sucks they stop the drag racing there. 5 MPH is just funny around there.
