axle lock nuts on 04 warrior

Default axle lock nuts on 04 warrior

hey does anyone have problems with the rear axle nuts loosening up all the time?
what is the best way to keep them tight

lock tight... put locktight on the locking nut( outside nut) and tighten it with a LONG wrck.. REALLY tight.. really drench it in lock tight and let it set overnight..

i was thinkin of putting some blue thread lock on it
but ive been told youll have to heat the axle nuts up to get em off later
i know you cant heat the axles so i dunno
im tryin some thread tape on there to see if that works

all u need is alot of force to get it off...

Sounds to me like they've never been properly torqued on either ...

You need to snug the inside one against the sprocket to 40lbs, then while holding the inside one, tighten the outside one to 140lbs .. then while holding the outside one, loosen the inside one (or tighten against the outside one) to 170lbs.

Blue threadlocker is good stuff .. I use locktite thread locker which is blue itself ..

As for having to heat up the nuts to get them off, not true, though it does make it easier. if you have the proper axel nut wrenches, then a 2' johnson bar will take them off easy as pie ..
