Default Already Broke.

Where to look first? I've only had my 350 a couple of months and already have to park it. I came up short on a double and cased the landing. Almost went over the handlbars. I broke the connection off the throttle lever housing that the trottle cable screws into. I was surprised at how easy it broke. I replaced that and then realized my transmission was screwed. In a stationary position, I can shift from 1st to neutral, and neutral to 1st. Cannot shift into second. Rolling I can shift into second, third and so on, but its not smooth. I have never worked on a trans before, so I am trying to decide the first course of action. I am going to fix this my self. Haven't checked, but I know it cost too much to have dealership repair. I know I came down hard on the shift lever, so I think I will start there. Any ideas?

you prolly bent a shift lever or 2... my first suggestion if find a friend or a friend of a friend that will do it for cheap.. the stealership will most likely charge u around 100$ an HOUR for 10 hours of work... but if i were you i would drain the oil and look for shavings and while it's drained take off the left side cover( cluthc cover) and check it out..
