I search for the perfect setting for edelbrock carb!

Yesterday I install a edelbrock carb on my 727 raptor.(hotcam 2 + dyna fs)
It runs very very great in all gears, but in the 5th gear in top of the end, my raptor donīt accelerate.I mean the motor is splottering.
What kind of problem is that? Is my adjustment to rich or to lean? What shell I try?
Is on the carb a mixture screw?
Guys, please tell me your experience!!!
Thanks

I have the warrior carb, but I may be able to help you out. What exactly are you doing when the engine sputters on you, such as punching the throttle pretty hard or rolling it slowly open? It may not be the mixture since the other gears are fine, it's probably your accelerator pump that's a little off. If you're punching it and it sputters than you need a little more pumpshot, turn it 1/8 turn clockwise and see what happens. If it happens when you roll the throttle on slowly it's too weak, turn it 1/8 turn or so counterclockwise. If it was your mixture you would see the symptoms in all gears, not just your highest gear.

The engine spotters when I punching the throttle pretty hard.I have not tested what happens when I rolling the throttle slowly open.Is the accelerator pump the thing what is on the botttom of the carb?
What importance have the accelertaor pump?Shall I use it when the engine is cold?
Is the mixture screw the screw on the riht side(carb:further down on the left side)?
Thanks

The accelerator pump is on the right side of the carb and at the bottom. The mixtures are on the top, but you probably won't need to adjust them. You'll want to undo the locknut on the pump screw and turn the screw clockwise by 1/8 turns until the sputtering goes away.
