Stick with the park brake wiring mod you are talking about. It's not overheating!! There is also a ground wire on the right side of the frame up near the fuel tank. Remove it and clean the paint from under it and re-install the bolt.

If it was the p-brake mod it should not be able to run past idle soon as its started. Something else is going on when its warmed up. The choke idea sounds interesting. Could be way to much fuel gettin in there or not enough. Good Luck

Check the gas cap vent to see if it is stopped up.
I have seen that create your symptoms.

your avoiding everyones question of "What does the Spark Plug Look Like?" If your not familur(sp) with the different colors or shades a spark plug can be check out this spark plug chart.

If nothing else order yourself a warrior clymer manual, Cause with a 9 year old bike you'll have to work on it from time to time.

I Just remembered, something simular mine used to do was foul the plug alot. I tryed and tryed to rejet it and in the end it was the stator, Apparently it wasnt creating much voltage after it warmed up and it had a real weak spark. Hope that helps.

P.S. Its next to impossible to overheat a warrior, Ive done it once in 9 years.

i wanted to take a look at the stator and i noticed oil is dripping out of the crankcase cover on that side, i yttyhink the oil seal is bad and oil may be seaping onto the stator, could cause my problem you think?

then, lean it out by screwing with the air/fuel screw in the carb.
