Kodiak 400 jumps out of reverse
I have a 1994 Kodiak 400 with high/low and reverse transmission. While I am reversing it seems to pop out of reverse. Only if I am backing up a hill or putting it under some load. It seems OK on flat ground backing up. Someone mentioned to me to adjust linkage? , but thought maybe someone could shed some light on this for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Kodiak 400 jumps out of reverse
I have sort of the same problem.. I have an 03 Kodiak 400, just Foreward and Reverse, no low gears. It clicks when going into reverse and sometimes it takes a minute to actually grab. It is not because the RPM's are to high because that would cause going into Foreward to click too wouldn't it? The bike seems like it's RPM's are the same as the day I got it. It will sometimes pop out of reverse too when I'm putting a lot of load on the reverse gear, but not too often. Any ideas?

I believe you can adjust the linkage on the high/low/reverse shifter. I havent done anything to mine yet as it only happens occasionally. It doesnt seem to be getting any worse. I am a little hesitant, as adjusting the cable to far could fix the reverse ,but possibly make it pop out of forward gear.
