my raptor is havin a little trouble with sumthing...it idels fine but bogs when u rev it or ne thing...it bogs and cuts out at about 4000rpms...i cleaned my carbs and air filter and it still does it its almost like my reverse rev limiter or sumthin ...i was thinkin maybe eletrical or sumthin...ne help

sounds like your parking brake. does it sound like its hitting a rev-limiter? Adjust your parking brake or get a Parking brake block-off kit.

 

Yeah sounds like the p brake. first make sure its off, second make sure the entire mechanism operates smoothly and there is no dirt, debris or anything making it stick.

 

i believe that the p brake restricts the motor to 1,500 RPMs, 4,000 is about half what the machine can do with the stock limiter. you say anything above idle which wouldn't be 4,000 , but more like the 1,500 its (the p brake) set for. dumb mistake but dont feel bad, same thing for me once for like twenty minutes and when i realized what the deal was i felt like an ***.

 

yea i had my axel worked on and they took my p-brake off and as soon as i got it back i thought it was that too but yea i dont have a tach so idk what rpms its at so jus a ruff est....ne ways how to i fix it or can i jus take it off or sumthin? ?
