Default more blaster help :(

alright so.. i ordered a stock exhaust because the one on it when i bought it was:
1. way to loud for where i live
2. was very rusty
so before i put it on i started it up one last time with the original exhaust. i took it off and put the new one on. i just kicked it over a couple times to listen to what the new exhaust would sound like when i was kick starting it. i then went inside for a little bit. i came back out and go to start up my quad and i cant kick the kick starter at all. its like its seized but there is no way it can be because i kicked it over a couple of times before i went inside. does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Pull the clutch cover off and take a look inside. Sometimes the spring on the kicker inside for the return brakes off and locks up the kickstart lever.

aif your talkign about going from an aftermarket pipe with proper jetting to a stock pipe using the same jetting, you are correct becasue it would be rich. but going from stock to an aftermarket pipe will lean it out, and a rejet is 100% in order, cant get around it. i know someone who installed their pipe, didnt rejet, went for a ride and seized it within 10 minutes.

It all depends. I know some people who pipe their machines and don't bother to re-jet, but it dosn't seize because they are "slow" drivers and aren't always on the gas. With some pipes it only requires to change the main jet one size, which isn't really much of a increase. Still enough to seize yes, but at the same time unless your doing somthing you shouldn't be (like holding it wide open for long periods of time) you shouldn't have much of a seizing issue.

Before I jumped into the motor I would take a look at the obvious first, like I suggested check the kick start return spring.
