Paddle Tires???
#2
Most people are going to tell you the ITP Sand Star.....and they're probably right. They have the angled paddle which is best for all around sand riding. Your best bet for size is probably a 20' tire for no mods and no changes to your gearing. Width won't make nearly as much difference...though obviously wider is better if you can fit it.
EDIT*** I bought a set of Geckos off ebay which must have only been used once at most. I rode some good size dunes with them and never had a complaint, I kept up with anybody that had the ITP Sand Stars just as good. I've also ridden them some back here in Iowa on dirt and they still show almost no signs of wear... Geckos are usually a little cheaper as well if money is an issue.

I like my Geckos I use to have on my Raptor, the size is 21-11-9 i think. And you could buy them off in rockymountainatv.com. ITP Sandstars are also a good choice.

I have a set of Geckos on my 450, kinda stumbled onto them. I picked them up pretty cheap off a kid and have been happy with them. I think they slide really well if you like to do that, not bad on the drags but overall happy with them 20/11/9 is the size i run

Geckos show there weakness in a drag race but for general duning they would be an okay choice. The Geckos are very heavy compared to most other similar paddle tires.I am not knocking the Geckos but i have seen quite a few quads with these tires and they seem to be slower when drag racing than the same type of quad with a different tire. The sand stars look like a good choice and they are fairly inexpensive.I personally like a straight paddle like a hauler because unless you have very minimal horsepower they perform the best in the deep soft summer sand and they can slide very well with enough power.
