Noisy Brakes
#1
Please advise what steps I can take to cure my squealing brakes.
I'm pretty basic on mechanics so keep it as simple as you can.
I have an '03 Yamaha Grizzly and '96 Yamaha Wolverine, and both squeal like crazy.
Thanks for any help.

You dont always need new pads. Alot of kodiaks a grizzlys have squeaked from the start. It's dirt caught inbetween the pads and the disk. Try spraying it out real good with your waterhose. It used to drive me crazy, now I hardly notice it. Some people say changeing to an aftermarket pad will help, but I've also heard the same person say after it got dirty it came back. Spray and spray real good.

I'll give it a go with spraying.
I'd really be surprised if they needed new pads.
I didn't know if there was some kind of cleaner that I could put on there that would help keep the dirt from sticking so easily.
