This is the deal...I have a bone stock 2000 Banshee right now, but I have big plans for it. I am going to have it ported by Rudy at Port Magic Racing just enough so it can still run on pump gas. I'm putting on a Pro Design pro flo with a K&N filter and their intake manifold, along with V-Force reeds. My question is what pipes do I want to go with? I've narrowed it down to the LRD or the Toomey's. I don't have any experience with either one so I'm in the dark here. Can anybody help me? I want good midrange with a smokin top end but not a useless bottom end. ( Doesn't everybody!! ) P.S. Does this sound like a good setup without lossing reliability? THANX FOR ANY HELP....keep it rubber side down!

Well, I must say that you have brought a difficult decision upon yourself. Both very good choices and well known pipes. I personally have the LRD on my 400 and just love it but not really sure about there pipes on the Banshee (we are talking 2 totally different machines). I will say the people at LRD are very nice and helpful. But, without knowing how they are and seen the Toomey's in action, I would say the Toomey's. That's a tough decision man!! Good luck and let us know which one you chose. later

I had LRDs on an otherwise stock banshee. They made a huge improvement in the power, especially from mid to top. I've been told that with mods, they work even better.

I read on this message board sometime back, that they are the next best thing to out-of-frame drag pipes when it comes to high end power.

I also had a time with some jetting, and the fine folks at LRD ended up sending me 4 different sets of jets, so that I'd be sure and have the correct jets! They even sent them express delivery.

I have had Toomey,FMF, and I know run LRD's. If I would have known that LRD pipes were this great I would have started with LRD's. CT racing did my motor work and those LRD pipes work really well with motor. They must work good togather, because that is the setup K&K atv have on their banshees and there rider was kicking a$$ till he got hurt. Just my opion though! LATER
