How many teeth is the rear sprocket on the Raptor? Has anyone tried changing the rear sprocket in combination with the 12 tooth counter sprocket?

Hi.. FYI. The Raptor comes with a 40 tooth rear sprocket and a 13 tooth front sprocket..

Reaperman I changed to a 12 tooth sprocket and it was perfect,whole new machine.Last week I put a set of 22 inch spider tracks on the back and now the gearing has to be changed again.I ordered a 42 tooth for the rear.It will be here on wednesday.That should pretty much get me back where I was before I changed the tires with the 12 tooth front.By the way they told me that the rear sprocket is the same as the banshee.Hope this helps some.

 

GET A FILTER FOR THE CRANKCASE VENT TUBE,SO YOURS WONT END UP LIKE MINE. IVE GOT DIRT IN THE MOTOR,AND YAMAHA WONT REPLACE IT.
THE TWELVE TOOTH SPROCKET WORKS GREAT,IVE GOT MY NAME IN FOR A LONESTAR SWINGARM TOO.

 

Why the swingarm? Stock looks ok to me. Why not think about +2 +2 A-arms instead?

 

A 4"EXTENDED SWINGARM WILL KEEP THE FRONT WHEELS DOWN AND TRANSFER MORE WEIGHT TO THE REAR WHEELS.IM ALSO CONSIDERING DROPPING THE ENTIRE BIKE DOWN FOR THE DUNES THIS WILL LOWER THE CENTER OF GRAVITY AND PUSH THE FRONT WHEELS OUT, WITHOUT ADDING MORE WEIGHT. I MIGHT AS WELL MODIFY IT BECAUSE YAMAHA SEZ THAT PUTTING THE FILTER ON THE VENT TUBE WILL POSSIBLY VOID WARRANTY,I FOUND THIS OUT YESTERDAY....
