A set of stockers setup correctly will out flow the edelbrock. The edelbrok cant keep up on a modified raptor engine. 35mm FCRs will fit the stock boots. 39's are the way to go but require an intake setup.
I dont know much about LRD big bores but they (LRD) should be able to reccomend a set up for you.

Craycraft http://www.14mins.com/craycraft_racing.htm

Kenz http://www.kenzcycletech.com/

Barker http://www.barkersbars.com/

All these are at the top of the game with raptor engines and would be able to give you accurate info and prices.

Default edelbrock carbs????

The stock carbs are what i run on my high compression 690 with LTE duals and they do a very good job. From what i have experienced and what i have seen others do i can tell you that the stock carbs do not work well with anything over about 180-185 mains(mikuni) without being modified for flow.I may switch to the grizzly needle jet set up for running bigger mains but after finally getting my 690 to run well i am hesistant to mess with it.I am using 175-180 mikuni mains with all other carb components as they are stock.
