n00b question

Hey I have a really n00b question... i just bought a 02 raptor for my buddy which he bought for his wife and she only rode it twice so its in excellent condition and i was reading in another post about somebody taking out the baffeling in the exhuast, how do you do this?

Yeah just like Zim said, they come out REAL hard especially on one that isn't brand new. There are 3 screws i believe holding on the end cap to your silencer. Take that end cap off, and there will be a screw holding your spark arrestor that comes up from the bottom. There will probably be carbon on everything so scratch around a little if you don't see it. Anyway, I knew I'd never put mine back in, so I got a pair of vice grips and had my way with it until it came out. (eventually a hammer hitting the vice grips to pull it out was what it took) Well it'd probably go back in with some re-shaping, but don't expect it to be in mint condition when your done. Hope that helps.

Mines out...i took it out just to hear the sound...and l liked it a lot better then stock. I had to take a cutting torch and heat the end of the pipe to a glowing orange, then pulled on the vice grips, then got hammer. It finally came out, and it was bent to hell and back, so i decided to just leave it out becasue-to bent up, and i liked the sound
