Default Isn't Yamaha Great?

Got into an argument with a guy I sometimes ride with over the best ATV manufacturer, by best I mean most innovative and the one that is most helping the industry move foward. This wasn't just a red v. blue thing, I have always rode Yamaha's because of their reliability and the name. My arguement:

Nobody else has come out w/ as many innovative and important quads (see Banshee, Raptor, Warrior, YFZ) as Yamaha. The Warrior and Banshee could be two of the most important quads ever. The Raptor, although it has a lot of critics for some reason, is an awesome quad and started the big bore sport craze. The YFZ was the FIRST competitive four stroke racer out.

How I shut him down:

He said Honda started it all w/ the 250R. I gave him that, because they did. He then said the 450R is the best current sport quad. I disagreed & said the YFZ is more complete and what else does honda offer? The 400ex?

Suzuki had the z400 first but the YFZ blew that out of the water and no other company has a lineup that includes the best all around racer (YFZ), the meanest big bore (Raptor) and possibly the most thrilling ride ever on four wheels. (Shee) The blue team also has a great 4x4 lineup that is at least even w/ Honda and more reliable than polaris.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but its hard to not put YAMAHA on top. Don't you all agree?

this is how I see it

Speed = Yamaha

Reliability= Honda

And honda has some fast quads and yamaha has some long lasting ones , but Ied take a honda over anything for reliablilty !

ask anyone, who would they choose for speed and reliability... always yamaha.. 450r is blown away by the YFZ450.. 400ex is caught up to with the raptorr 350 w some basic mods. 250 blown away by the blaster. 350 banshee blows away a 400ex.. lets face it.. honda is falling behind.

Is he talking about 4-wheelers????? If so he's wrong......... Suzuki came out with the QuadRacer 250r 4-wheeler back in 1985....... Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki were all still making 3-wheelers at the time...
