Yamaha front diffs
#1
Does anyone know much about their clutch pack setup. I am wondering if an extra plate or 2 would make it more of a limited slip ?????????
I am 1 of the fiew that likes the open diff setup but i would like a little extra pull sometimes. If anyone has some tips or info please let me know.

I looked into putting a locker in the front of my Griz. However they no longer make one for it. They used to. But some of the feedback I got about it was that the steering became extremely heavy, and they were breaking alot of cv's. If thats true, and you pull your front carrier and weld the pinion gears it would be essentially the same. You might not be to happy with the results, and once you've done that there is no going back. Short of buying a whole new front carrier. I was considering doing that, but changed my mind. But I think they need something up front that is alot more aggresive then the stock limited slip! This is such an AWESOME quad, and that front dif is its only real short coming in my opinion.
