Default valve adjustment??

Well, if you burn a valve seat you have gone too far between valve adjustments. I, myself, would stick to the manual for recommended intervals.

STARTING FAILURE/HARD STARTING
POOR IDLE SPEED PERFORMANCE
POOR MEDIUM AND HIGH-SPEED PERFORMANCE

You will need a service manual or CD. The work is easy if you know how to use a wrench and feeler gauges.

You will notice a loss in performance, probably something like a lean condition because the intake valves tighten up and dont let enough in. Mine started to backfire/sputter while deaccelerating. Very easy to adjust these. Just make sure you buy the right size feeler gauge, I screwed up and didnt take the paper telling me what the tolerances were to the tool store. Had to go back and buy the right one. Check out the Raptortranny website, they have a very good how to on there for the 660r but im sure with that and gathering some info on here you will be able to do it easily. By the way, mine runs like a champ once again!
