My warrior beat a stock blaster but I have a few advantages, but I do weigh about 60 pounds more than the kid.

When my warrior was stock it out ran my friends blaster that had 220 bore pro circuit silencer and fatty and uni filter now that i have a hmf it gave me tons more torque and now i dont have as much top end but i can pull hill climbs in 4th that he can only do in 2nd oh yeah i also ahve a 38mm carb
your stock warrior beat a pipped 220 blaster wow he must have sucked cause blasters respond really good to mods, i would think it would take a pipe to take a 220 blaster
Idiots, boring doesn't give you any performance gains.
i really hope your jokin banshee392

I'm not man, it's boring, not porting or anything like a 240. It just takes material off the sleeve if it has been damaged when the top end went. Boring and a new larger piston will aslo bring back some of the snappiness from when it was fresh because as the cylinder gets older and used more, as well as the piston and rings, it loses compression. Boring it will add cc's..but cc's dont necessarily mean power. I mean a blaster bored to its maximum will put out 207 cc's i believe.

ya, it would be more like 260, on a car engine (chevy 350) if u bore it 60 over it becomes a 358, and thats measured in inches so it would make a huge difference on a 200CC quad.

60 over, which is .060" increase will give you 204cc on a blaster.

To get 260CC on a blaster still using the stock stroke you would have to bore .402" over .. or 402 overbore. You're talking about boreing the sleeve/head to nearly a 1/2" bigger .. that's HUGE over stock.

the term "boring 60 over actually means that you are boring .060 thousands over, which equals 1.5mm wider than the previous bore. now, look on the internet & find a displacement calculator, find out the original bore & stroke of the quad on wisecos online catalogs. now, the stock blaster has a 66mm diameter bore, & 57mm stroke, when you run these two measurements through a displacement calculator it comes up to about 195cc's (which it should say on the cylinder give or take 1 cc). now into that same displacement calculator type in 67.5mm bore & a 57mm stroke, which is taking into account that your cylinder was bored 1.5mm over the stock diameter (also known as .060 thousands or, 60 over...), & calculate the displacement again-what do you come up with? you should have roughly 204ccs. THAT is why when you have your cylinder bored 60 over it does not make your engine +60ccs, the term __ over is a measurement in thousands. heres a quick way to go by that i use.

These Are -ROUGH- calculations & are + or - 3 depending on the amount of stroke you have (a lot more stroke than 57mm, than a lot more difference from what is listed, but even so its not more than double so dont think you're gaining THAT much by having your quad bored 60 over).

20 over- +0.5mm diameter + 3cc's
40 over- +1.0mm diameter + 6cc's
60 over- +1.5mm diameter + 9cc's
80 over- +2.0mm diameter +12cc's
100 over- +2.5mm diameter +15cc's
120 over- +3.0mm diameter +18cc's
140 over- +3.5mm diameter +21cc's

(the cc calculations are really rough & with more stroke you will gain more cc's than what is listed, & u will never know the exact size that that overbore will give you until you run it through a displacement calculator because the amount of stroke has a bearing on it everytime, but its just a quick way to go off of thats atleast closer than "100 over means your gained 100cc's!).

Stock vs Stock is always over rated. Just a gearing change on either quad could change the whole race. The distance also matters. The rider alone can have a major effect on the performance of a 2-stroke. I have been on both stock Blasters and Warriors. The Warrior's stock sprocket gearing is pretty slow, you run out of gears way before horse power. The Blaster's stock power curve makes you double check to see if its really a 2-stroke. Yamaha made the Blaster and Warrior for close to 20 years using the same specs....not because they didn't know any better... its because they know people want to mod them. An Example being the Raptor 350, the only change in the 350 motor between the Warrior and Raptor was the cam and cam bearing.
