Default Sport vs a Utility

I have an 8N ford tractor to plow the driveway... Raptor and I go riding!
recently sold my beloved ToomeyBlaster to a friend's son, friend had a Rincon. Friend could not keep up with son on ToomeyBlaster. Friend NOW has a brand new Raptor660 and LOVES it. Have plenty of video to prove it, but ya cant see it on this site apparently...
If you wanna have fun, SPORT it. If you need to feed the cows, UTILITY. simple.

I like my utility because I can put it in sport mode by switching to two wheel drive. Plus some of the hills and trails I ride you NEED 4wheel drive. Plus going over some of the fallen trees you need the ground clearence a utility provides. Sure a sport would be fun in wide open places, etc. But I'm getting older and love what my Sport utility provides. Plus I feel safer on it. Some of the snow we got this winter I had to put mine in 4X4 mode and lock the diff. If you only had two wheel drive you would of been SOL. Trust me I go real fast on some of the trails plus its great for running over small trees.

Plus on my utility I can stay mud free if I want. I also plow and winch things.

I have to say I love my utilitys....one is a 2004 Bruin that my g/f bought and mine is a 95 Kodiak. There is 230 acres between her mom and sister that we explore on Sundays. Wide open hills, thick trees and a couple of good mud holes in front of two ponds to play in. Oh yeah....there are 4 ponds on these 230 acres and we pack the fishing gear on the atv's and go at it!

I agree I think you can have just as much fun on a Utility quad as you could on a sport quad. It might not be the same type of "fun", but its still fun.

there is not a utility quad made that can out climb my raptor. I go up hills that most bikes cant make ( to sandy), utilitys are to heavy to be good climbers. 4X4 or not they cant out climb a sport with good power!!

If the ruts in the hill were a foot deep a utility would out climb you know problem or if the snow was a foot deep

I can avoid ruts or straddle them and a set of paddles will take care of the snow! Other than that I say bring it, any utility quad wants to come to albuquerque and prove me wrong feel free!!

I'm a sport to ute convert too. I'll never go back. If all I wanted to do is go up and down dirt roads and sand hills I would have kept the Raptor. There isn't a sport quad made that can go where I go.
