I am not doubting that in the long run of modding the banshee can easily be made the king of straight line drags. All I am saying, is its not as simple as throwing a couple of bolt-ons on the banshee, and it being king over yfz. Piped, intake, and jetting on both, the YFZ does the majority of the time win a 300 ft drag! The yfz is very limited on how much power you can extract from the motor, unlike a banshee. So after normal mods like I just listed, YES, the banshee can be made to go faster in a straight line against a yfz

..........I dont know if your just trying to stir the pot or what, but your statement is in no way true!
I guess thats why the yfz is 50 lbs lighter than a shee, and IS FASTER!
I also guess that is why all the MX guys are finding out that the 450's are indeed better in most applications. They certainly make more power that a 250! The only thing the 250's have going for them is they are a little lighter, but not by much, just a few pounds!

If your just trying to stir things up, then more power to ya, but if your serious, get your head out of the clouds and come back down to earth, where 4-strokes are reaping terror on tracks everywhere! .............oh man, especially the 125cc class in MX. The 250F's are wickedly fast in comparison!!

That is not correct. I happen to ride with a large group of people. Also the fact that my uncle owns an ATV shop and Bubba does all the port work. My brothers banshee is fast. My 250(310)R is fast. A buddy that just sold his YFZ that he had over $10,000 in was fast... He had more than the few mod's you list above. Who do you think won the drag races??? Not the YFZ... It has a LONG list of parts... Much longer than either the banshee or my "R"...

Im not sure what your saying isnt correct. You through 10k at a banshee and yfz, the banshee will easliy be the victor.
If your trying to state that your honda 250R was faster than a yfz with 10k invested into it, your BLOWING SMOKE! That, or the yfz had 10k thrown at cosmetics and protection. Dude, 250r's arnt all that anymore!

The 250r is 25 pounds lighter than yfz {325 vs 350}. A modded 250r makes as much or more power than a modded yfz. The 250r is baned from racing in the pro PRODUCTION class {where the big dogs ride} or it would be kicking yfz and 450r @sses all over the track. Honda and yamaha pushed for the ban because they couldn't have their new 450's getting there asses handed to them on a silver platter by 20 year old 250r's. If the banshee is king of drags and dunes {and it is}, the 250r is king of the mx track [even tho it's banned from racing].

I am saying that ONLY the YFZ had that much money in it.

It still loses to both the banshee and the "R" in a drag MOST of the time. Mind you that ALL 3 bikes were worked on by the SAME people...

That takes out the factor of one bike being built by an idiot and the other buy somebody that did it right.

You must have "SOME BUILT 250" when almost every factory rider or privateer has gone to the 450's even on tracks that do let the 250 race.
Dude, I have ridden with 250's for as long as I can remember, THEY ARNT THAT FAST! You would get KILLED by a banshee, and a yfz up to a certain point CAN KILL BANSHEE'S. .........................SO, how is a 250 going to beat the 450.

Put down the crack pipe dude, 250's are done with.
I am sure you can make them quick on a track, but a 450 is very VERY much a competitor of a 250. On a track its up to the rider, but machine to machine, the 450 is better in almost every way!

Thats cool that your ancient beast beat up on some sucker on 450's, but that is CERTAINLY NOT THE NORM. 250's are in NO way fast, they are quick, and quick aint going to win you a drag to 300ft againt a 450 or a banshee. That is a bike you definately keep on the track. What I am loving is the fact that my 450, which is suppose to be a mx quad, is whooping 700's 660's and banshee's which are OPEN CLASS type quads.

The king of the drags will never be the 450's or your CRAZY 250, the banshee will more than likely always be the winner, unless somebody has a lot of work done to a 700-660. I just dont see the horsepower gains coming out of a 4stroke 660 or 700, that you can get out of a 2 stroke banshee!
