I don't know, i wasn't going to get involved in this thread because it is pointless, The federal government has legislated 2 stroke's out of existance. But know i must, the fed mandated that as of 2006 2 stroker's must abide by the same emission's standard's as everyone else. That mean's yamaha can finish out the 2006 model year but that's it, and i don't want to here it's unfair that the boat guy's get to keep some 2 stroke model's, it's a matter of money. It's very expensive to make 2 stroke's comply with the new standard, keep in mind a 150 or 200 hp 2 stroke outboard will cost about the same as 3-4 banshee's. I'm sure the big 4 would agree to making 2 stroker's, if you agreed to pay 15,000 -20,000 a piece for them, I think probably not, I'm an old 2 stroke guy too, back when i was much younger i had no less than a half dozen atc 250r's over the year's, nothing could touch them, but sadly those day's are gone forever, so when the part's run out grab a four joker and join the rest of us. Just my opinion!!!!!

For my part, I love the smell of 2-strokes .. skidoo's, chainsaws, weed-wackers ... awesome stuff ..

nothing finer than the smell of 2-stroke on your snowsuit after a ride ...

 

Well I was always a die hard 2 strokers. But recently I bought a 06 crf250r, man this thing is sweet and produes plenty of power. I'm a hell of a lot faster since I got it. It suits my riding style. But I know guys who can kill on 125's. Its 90% rider 10%bike. Rem? I haven't been on a quad in years, but I used to think 4stroke quads were underpowered (stock) And I loved the arm ripping power of my zilla. Its all got to do with your preferences guys. Ride which you prefer or which your faster on and don't start rows over it. just RIDE!

 

I hate to say it cause Im a die hard 2 stroke fan. Always have been always will be. But our day of new quads are over. We always have the option of buying used or straigt from the factory for $$$$$ so they will never die but we will never be abel to walk into a dealership again and look at the awsome Banshee and get it that day. It is all about prefrence and I prefer that nasty 2 stroke hit to a soft handeling 4 stroke woods bike anyday. And we have the aftermarket and they arent going anywhere.

I started this thread over a year ago. Kind of funny to see it pop back up here. I agree I dont want to hate on 4 strokes I like all kind of bikes but anybody who tries to put down 2 strokes is being ignorant plain and simple. anybody who thinks all 4 strokes suck is just the same. I no longer have my quadzilla sadly. hapily I picked up a CR500 supermoto cause i couldnt get by without my big bore 2stroke fix. I got a 2stroke jetboat too. but.. I still love my wolverine its my baby and I wouldnt trade it for any other bike. make love not war.....
