Maddog56-Bombardier is actually working on a two stroke quad with the ETEC technology and from what i was told it may actually happen soon so this thread may not be as pointless as you think.

Their sleds are already 2006 compliant, but I wouldnt expect to see them in an atv anytime in the near future. (Hint, I dont think they will be using the 2 stroke like someone has alluded to in the bomb forum.)

No I mean that someone in the bomb forum has people believing for a 2 stroke sport quad for 06 and I am saying that I dont think that will be the case. I guess you havent seen the thread.

I really dont see any new 2 stroke atvs for at least 3-5 years and that would still amaze me. Four strokes have worked well in the atv industry where they have not in others like outboard boat motors and lawn tools. Then again bomb is just the kind of company (non traditional in atvs) to release one first. I just dont think it will be all that soon. In any case, my money is on the thumpers.

I don;t really buy into the emissions aspect though. theres two stroke outboards that burn almost 100% of the oil using oil injection. remember as well with a 4 stroke the oil has to be changed and then you have to deal with disposal of it. atleast in the south I know there are people that dig holes in there yard and just barry it. this is probable worse then 100 oil injected two strokes running around.

I think the industry has just been moving 4 strokes with utilitys lately and its easier to build motors with interchangable parts.

just my 2 cents. as you see outboards and snow mobiles are staying 2 and will prbable be that way for a minute. primarily becuase most people use them and want two stroke boats and snowmobiles. a 4 stroke mercury verata(spelling) may be able to outrun a comparable two stroke, however its about twice as much for the motor and has a supercharger.
I couldn't agree more.

Idiots?????
Easy on the personaly attacks.....

Before you start talking too much smack, you'd better do some modding of your StockBanshee.
I own both, and I can assure you that a stock Banshee will have some problems taking down one of the newer 450's
I appoligize for the word "idiot" It wasnt directed to any one person but everyone but none the less I take it back.

Oh and my bike is NOWHERE near stock I just put that because people have these big lists of crap that most of which dont even improve preformance. I just chose be different and claim stock. but believe me its not. well the frame is. Either way I will smoke a 450 and have.

Simple Tube headers going back to a muffler cost as much as two carefully designed chambers made to pull extra mixture into the chamber then shape an energy wave and bounce it back to push extra mix back into the cylinder for a forced induction like effect. Four stroke exhausts just make fart sounds and let gasses out. Then of course you have to buy cams, valves, and have the head ported to get the same effect porting alone gives a two stroke. When all thats done you buy some thousand dollar carbs and throw money at builders saying "make it bigger somehow, its still slow".
lmfao i dont care who you are thats funny?

Real men ride 4 strokes...always have. Real motors have valves...always will. Get over it guys...The days of two smokers are gone. Noisy and stinky and burn way to much fuel....Sorry...I just had to get that off my chest. I'm tired of being all politically correct and **** anymore and I'm tired of all my friends saying that some day their 2 smokers will be as fast as my 4 stroke. Vids of me on my 4 stroke.

Banshees have valves too "reed valves". And as for the real men ride 4 jokes thats the dumest thing Ive ever herd.

Oh and I noticed you are showing that you have a 58 Hp 690 probably $2,000 motor. Are you actually impressed with that. You would bearly run with mild ported shees. AHAHAHAH You must have some big ***** to hang on to that bad boy. If you wanna be a man get a used shee spend the 2 grand to get a totally decked out cheetah cub have 90HP and give that craptor to your wife. HAHAHA

HOLY COW 58 horses. HAHAHAHA You needed 690 CC to get that what a waste. You can get 80 off a lil 350 shee. HAHAH

Oh and 2 stokes arent going anywhere till you can get a 4 joke to get 130+ HP off mods. Till then the big dog will still be riding shees. Unless you wanna play with the little kids then you could get by with a 4 stokes.

It funny you 4 strokers are like the little kids who supe up civics. Just get a muscle car and quit playing around
ive got a 350 block that puts out 105hp 690cc=58.9hp now that is really bad

You guys want your two strokes, you can still order them from Service Honda, TRX 250R, and you can also order the kit from them to put it directly into your 400ex frame. They port it to your riding enviroment, and it comes with your choice of FMF or Pro Circuit exhaust. So for you Honda 2 stroke owners, this is an option for you, but you can also order a complete quad from them

For the price of a nice used car or full race used quad you too can have stock CR250 engine in a 400ex frame.
