Default Pro design and Power lid

I just baught a brand new 05 660 raptor last month and Im pretty new into the sport and i have been looking for cheap ways to get more power. I have looked into getting the pro design filter kit K&N and also the K&N power lid, after i get those parts i plan on bringing it it to have the first tune up and also have it jetted. Does anyone have this already done to their bike? If so is there anything i should know before buying these parts? Thanks

Well, I guess it's my privilege to say welcome to the forums, and congratulations on buying a raptor.

There's really not much you have to know before you get those mods, but be ready to remove the airbox to install the kit. You're going to have to drill holes in the box to mount the Pro Design intake system. You're also going to have to modify the box and lid by cutting out the plastic tabs that hold the stock filter in place. If you buy the power lid, it should be designed to work with the aftermarket system already, and all you'll have to modify is the box. Good luck and report back.

Welcome to the forums!

Also, In addition to what Raptor149 said, invest in a jet kit. If you do those mods, you will have to rejet. It is very easy to do if you work with your hands at all. Just do a search and you will never run out of things to read about it.

Just read a lot of the threads on here and you will know everything down to the nut and bolt sizes on the entire bike before you even pull out a tool.
