It's not so much the number of times as it is the amount you have to bore the cylinder to clean up the surfaces. I believe the most you can overbore it is .080, then you will have to resleeve, to go bigger, you need a big bore kit with a bigger sleeve that is pressed into the bored out original jug. Of course, there is also the wear and tear on the crank and bearings, a lot of Banshees need the crank rewelded and trued to keep it from splitting or making vibrations that cause early failures. With a liquid cooled quad, you need to be careful not to get too close to the water jackets in the cylinder and cause coolant leaks from too thin walls.

Pro-x makes pistons up to .100" over.

If you keep you head out of your *** and rebuild when it needs it and not when it finally blows then you don't have to bore it every time.

www.passionracingengines.com

If you look at the photos my bike is the second pic. Bright green frame with white and blue plastics. If you call Jim, tell him Jinx44 (my name on other boards) told you to call. He is great to deal with and builds some bad *** motors. I have 2 of his 4mm's and am waiting on him to finish design of a special 4mm drag engine that should be turning high numbers on stock cylinders.

While I think about it, I need to call him. He is porting some intakes for me and I need to get them so I can get my nozzles installed and get the rest of the nitrous system setup.

Thanks for the responses, so

10 times is the approximate maximum rebuild.
