When i raced the predator i smoked it the boy kept saying he couldn't get it wound out in a quater mile drag.. So i took it for a ride and i got it wound out no problem.. But that thing was crappy if you want my opion..

 

I was reading in an old atv action[2003]. They had a shootout between the yfz and the pred. In the drag races the pred consistantly beat the yfz, but the yfz beat the pred in everything else and won the shootout.

 

you better get your eyes check i dont see how a predator could i mean i dragged a few this wekeend and seemed they had no chance either...

 

Yeah i think he needs them checked too.. Because that predator had a full system yoshimura pipe, K&N and some other stuff done to it and i completely smoked that thing.. I think you read something wrong..

i've owned both......and you are absolutely incorrect.......a predator out performs a raptor in everyway stock.........

actually.....my brother's Nitrous Express Predator is faster than my BUILT Boondocker Yfz

I'm hoping there is something wrong with my spray.....cause he is spankin my a$$ right now......

 

Preadators a peace crap if you ask me the YFZ will eat it alive. The YFZ weighs 350 pounds stock and the Preadator Stock weighs about 400 pounds. The YFZ also has more low end toruqe than the predator and the preadtors top heavy unlike the YFZ giving the rider more potential and room to manuever the qaud through turns without having to worry about it tiping over. On the qauter mile on black top if you know how to shift you can actually wheely the YFZ as you hit second gear and if your lucky you can wheely it as you hit thrid. This due to the tremendous amount of toruqe that the YFZ can lay down not so much because of the engine but the way the Yamaha set their bike up.

Hotcams certainly arent helping. And a NX system is far more capable and superior to a boondocker fogger.

 

if i recall may 2005 issue of ATV ACTION shootout between the pred. and raptor 660r and the raptor won so it tells ya there
