where would u hear the ticking sound coming from on the motor??

 

i heard u should hear a ticking from the top end but the valves are towards the bottom??? what do u guys think

it always takes me a couple of tries to getmy valves ajusted perfect... this was on my warrior

 

cool but where do u hear the ticks coming from on the motor when u need an asjustment??

 

You'll here the tapping sound on the very top of the motor.With your gas tank off you will here it alot better,right under the tappet cover above the carb,intake side,right above the header exhaust side.If its real bad you can put your hand on the cover and feel it.Thats what the ticking sound is,its the rocker or tappet, what ever you want to call it, tapping on the end of the valve.
