Default ticky warrior/rapptor350 motors

are your warrior/raptor350's motors a little ticky sounding like low rpm range... my quad has been that way from the day i got it its not loud or it dosent sound like something is wrong it just seems a little ticky sounding how about yours??

That would be the valves ticking, nothing new. If yo are comfortable with it all you have to do is take off the valve covers and adjust them and no more ticking.

dont the timing chains self adjust tho... where is the timing chain located

i adjusted my valves and it ticks like crazy! another kid with a warrior said his started to tick after he adjusted his valves so idk [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Most of the 'tick' went away on my wifes rappy after I adjusted the valves and changed the oil. If you do the valve adjustment wrong it will get louder.

yea ive also heard these motors tend to be ticky like that... what do ya think

i dont have a warrior/raptor 350 but my kota ticks a little...my bros bayou 250 ticks like a hell and they both run really good..so im not worried about anything..i always change my oil when i should so everything should be running fine in there...i might have them adjusted to see if thats really the problem..

yea me to im gonna get the valves adjusted soon but im gettin new bars soon so i wanna ride a a bit to test em out before i do the valves

If you adjusted the valves and it got louder, you have got the wrong clearance.Make sure you read the feeler gauge right,I had the wrong one and read it wrong.What do you have for clearance,intake.06-.10/exhaust.16-.20 per yamaha service manual.Not.006-.020/.016-.020!

what ever it says on the airbox is what i adjusted my valves to. the exhaust valve was tight so i only had to adjust that
