Default Shock adjustment - Kodiak

Just purchased a kodiak 450 and it is still set at 2. I figured to be broken in I should adjust it to the stiffest - 5, like a sled but the dealer didn't seem to agree. Whats your take?

Also being I weigh 220 lbs and plan to use it for hunting duties what setting would be best and how does it affect the performance - handling/ride?

Thanks

The stiffer the setting the better the handling at faster speeds and more load you can carry. The softer the setting the better ride you will get. I have mine set right now at 4 in front and 3 in the rear. But I am also just testing different settings.I will probaly end up at 3 in front and 2 in the rear, just for trail riding.

Thanks I bumped mine tonite to 3 & 3 to see how that is I find the rear fine but the front a little soft especially at speed or in sharp drops in the trail.
