Default Raptor 80 light kit?

I'm new to this forum stuff so i hope I'm doin this right. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone out there has made a headlight kit work for a Raptor 80. My riding friend put one on his daughters suzuki 80, but havent seen any on the yamaha. Does anyone know if the 80 has a real stator capable of running a 35? watt bulb?

I made my own. Go to an autoparts store and buy a set of 35 watt driving lights and a led marker light. I made an aluminum plate to mount the light on and attached it using the front two bolts on the handlebar clamp. Mount the marker lamp on the rear grab bar where the reflector is. Wire this all through a relay connected to the battery and activate the relay with the key or another switch. Takes a little fabbing but cost like 30 bucks and works great.

I am running one 35W light and one LED marker light for the tail light. I have had no problems with the set up.

Thanks I take it, it throws enough light? And the relay, are you running it through one that was already on the quad?

What's cool about the light is, I know someone in the same boat so we can split the cost of the lights Not that it would break the bank

No, the relay usually comes with the lights.

my little brother has lights on his 80. we just bought some in the auto department at walmart and drilled a couple holes on the front fenders to mount the lights. i think it came with a switch and we mounted that right by the neutral light. i think we just ran the lights off the battery. they work just fine... you can see them in the videos i have in my profile. towards the end of the first one. i dont have any pictures of it in my profile. i dont think.

I'm wondering the same thing for an 05 YFZ 450. The 30 watt headlights are not that great in the dunes. I've been told I can add higher wattage bulbs....Anybody try this?
